I like to work with my hands, fix cars, do electrical work, etc. Its pretty much the worst thing you can do for your nails. I have been going fishing quite a bit lately and the worst part is scraping the fish goo out from under my nails and keeping them clean! My friends all think I'm a big fruit when I complain about my nails!!

my piano teacher goes bonkers with my long nails, i try to tell her well flamenco guitar is more important , thats like not going well with her.

Fvictor , the great thing about long nails is you can flick fish goo for miles , and no one even knows and you can laugh!!!!

Never mind Escribano, it could have been worse...

Like cutting yourself really badly while skinning a bear (as one does), like one of our Canadian members.

cheers,

Ron

Uh, yeah, just because you're a born-again guitarist doesn't mean you have to make your own guitar from scratch. Sheesh...fanaticism is everywhere these days!

I'm trying to remember to always use work gloves in nail-crunch situations. It's difficult to get into new habits.
