I've seen some posting on this, but none of the links work anymore.

I am looking for an accurate version (I heard Alain Faucher's is accurate).

I anyone can send me a file or point me to a link I will appreciate it!

It's not a song: it's an instrumental :-)

I know this is American usage, but it's very confusing for the rest of the World, and ambiguous even in American.

Does anyone know if there is a version of Monasterio de Sal without the bass? I seem to recall hearing one.

Yes there is. The one with the bass is on Solo quiero caminar. The one without is on Castro Marín — much better, in my opinion. The bass adds nothing but needless clutter.
