Rafael Romero

Hi guys. Just to let you all know, I'm now carrying the guitars of Cadiz builder Rafael Romero. I've been talking to him and I really like his ideas as to what he feels a good flamenco guitar should be.

He started his career as a flamenco guitarist back in the day accompanying guys like 'Chano Lobato' and 'Curro Malena'. He has also built for Gerardo Núñez and Moraito so he's doing something right.

He makes 5 different models in both blancas and negras. I haven't gotten down to pricing them yet but his basic model (model 120) starts at $1800 and they go up from there. These are excellent values for the money.

To read a little more about him and see his work, here's the URL:

Sorry Sean, I deleted Emma's post at her request and it deleted yours as well. You want to repost?

Simon

I dont mind: I was just offering some information on Cadiz builders. I know both Rafael´s, both talleres and have played many guitars from both. Since they have the same first name, it is easy to confuse them.

I believe there is another maker in Puerto de Santa Maria.
