Place in Spain for August

Hey, folks

i'm looking for a place to stay in andalucia. can anyone help me out? I don't need much, just a place where i won't get robbed at night, and maybe a place to wash up so i don't smell too funny. i've been contacting a few friends i have in spain, but i don't have any concrete plans yet (and most of them are in madrid). the only plan i have is to hop off a boat in barcelona sometime around august 8, and i have a flight out of barcelona aug 22.

i really just want to experience some really good flamenco music and culture without spending a ton of money. oh, and maybe take a few lessons with some great teachers...

any ideas??

thanks.

Try http://www.hostels.com/ you can find hostels there for as little as 10 dollars. Classes with named figures start at 30 euros but you can prob find teachers for less. Just hang out at flamenco peñas and venues and ask around. Have fun.

You could try http://www.couchsurfing.org/help.html

You stay with people who live in the area who are interested in meeting travellers. And of course you have the option of hosting travellers when you get back home.
