Michael Thames

I've searched and found almost no info on Thames guitar on this forum. Does anyone have experience with his instruments? I was looking at this blanca just posted at Dream Guitars:

Just curious =)

RE: Michael Thames (in reply to ralexander

I have a Thames flamenco.
#245 from 1995.
I think mine is a bit fancier - double purflings top, back, and sides. You could use the grain of the back for a ruler & almost perfectly even. Mine has tuning machines.
Workmanship is nearly perfect.
The sound sample of the one for sale is very close to mine - better than I could record.

Thames has a website and a number of videos on YouTube.
Cheers,
Norman

Joaquin Gallegos was playing one a few years ago in Santa Fe at a bar. I was at the bar with Sr. Thames :)

I have a Thames blanca, l993, peghead. It is very light, responsive and with good basses and excellent clarity in the trebles. Very nice guitar.
