"Mood for a Day" ... Memor...

Sweet memories have crowded my mind this morning, of the distant time when I learned my first chords, on the steps of a some old church on a hilltop village near Venice. Giorgio Ferrario –whom heavens have taken from me way too young- would play this to impress me and the audience of eager teenagers, Mood for a Day, by Steve Howe, of the Yes.

I always thought that was flamenco and Giorgio was Paco de Lucia.

‘just wanted the share my own “mood for a day” and a prayer for this dear friend who left in me the great gift we share, his passion for the guitar…. unfortunately not his talent.

Sweet lamentations. And what a gift to have left with you.

I used to play it myself as a Teenager. Truly a gateway drug to Realmenco™

Always loved Steve's playing.

I didn't know he was a hybrid picker. Now who does that remind you of?

Hey... Sultans of Swing, and now this? We have more in common than I realized. Except for the musical talent, once again.

Phg, I too thought of our Todd when I watched the video. Steve plays it on steel strings, though. I would have left blood on the strings had I played that way on steel strings.
