Rumba Strumming - different patterns
I know that there is a lot going on right now, and while I anxiously await the judges scoring for the beginners challenge, I thought I would start this thread. I had a friend and flamenco singer visit me for a week and we spent a lot of time playing rumbas, this since I wasnt able to accompany very well anything else! But it was a lot of fun and I must admit that I love playing Rumbas.
Here are the only two patterns that I know (which are basically the same)
1 - Thumb down with golpe & - Thumb up 2 - x,a,m,i down & - Thumb up 3 - Tapado (palm over strings) & - x,a,m,i up 4 - x,a,m,i down & - i up
1 - Thumb down with golpe & - Thumb up 2 - x,a,m,i down & - Thumb up 3 - Dont play <-------------- & - x,a,m,i up 4 - x,a,m,i down & - i up
I would really appreciate anyone adding to this list. It would be nice to have lots of options. Now, Im not lazy; I have done some searching, but I like the idea of this thread for other beginners and also to know whats more commonly used.
You need an account to see the free preview (it's free to join), and if you email Ramin the administrator, he will let you pay for just one lesson if you must...but I think there is a small extra fee on top of the $16. But he will explain it to you....if you are interested. If you are fast learner you may be able to pick somethings just off the free preview.
