Help for string 'squeak' at saddle?

I bought a new guitar recently and after playing for a couple of months. I notice the treble strings now squeak on the saddle as they move when I play hard picado/arps.

I was told it is a bone saddle.

Pencil lead stops the noise but it only takes an hour for the string to push away all the lead and then I'm back to the noise.

Any permanent solutions/advice appreciated.

sounds like you need the saddle reshaping a little on the top surface.. (or you can try taking the resident mouse out from inside....)
lewes makers stephen eden or pablo requena could do that for you..(*the =saddle)

I has something similar with a cheap travel guitar.
Make sure the edges aren't too sharp. The horizontal ones as well as the vertical ones.

I solved the problem by taking my fretting hand and gently rubbing one of my nails along the bridge and smoothing it out.

Not sure if this is technically correct lutherie! But it worked- I did this a month ago and the squeak has not returned.
