A look back to 1985 - for some name ...

24 years ago this month at Pandora's Music Box 1985 - Rotterdam. I was the bassist in "Shock Headed Peters". Got drunk with many of them that weekend - we were all in the same hotel. Met some very nice people in Sonic Youth, The Cult and Nico. A great memory. Anyone remember some of the legends in this line-up?

Man that youtube clip is amazing!! I remember Einsturzende Neubaten, and most of all Echo and the Bunnymen I loved their first album and went to see them at the Albert Hall, which was so the wrong venue for them and I was really disappointed.

All a very long time ago...................

YEAAAH,....the golden era!
I'd seen Jesus and Marychain once in Ghent (Belgium) playing with their backs towards the audience.

Those days I was more into the early synthpop and naturally the Electronic Body Music from Front242, Neon Judgement, Nitzer Ebb, which was a good base for the following 20 years into Techno music.

Simon, that must have been a 'crazy' time I suppose.

El Ted, so you left the band, we're you the drummer? Or did The Sisters play with a real drummer in the beginning?

Yet another association with you guys eh? Yeah, they were great. If I recall, they went on just before us - which helped to warm the place up.

1985 was dark.

If you werent dark you were Miami wice, shoulder pads, Madonna etc.

I played the classical violin, so I was completely out.

My dark period was before and after. Up to 83 and after 90. I´ve seen some 4 or 5 of the names on the poster. Good stuff. Sonic Youth live is some of the best I´ve been to. All music styles. Heavy impact.
