a questions about flamenco guitar

hi my friends
i have a questions about flamenco guitar. whats a difference between 650 or 660 mm guitar scale length with normal tenstion strings?
i have big hands and i dont know whats scale guitar is suitable for me.
i heard the scale length of rafael cortes and paco,s guitar is 669 mm and oscar herrero and tomatito is 650mm.
i didnt have any reason for this selection.
please guide me

the difference is 10 mm.... the difference is tighter feeling strings... the difference is that one is slightly longer scale length....

big hands or not, doesn't matter the difference is dispersed over all frets evenly so you wont really feel it much.

honestly if i were you i wouldn't be concerned with who plays what. I'd go pick up a 660 and play it and a 650 and play it. but you should base your decision on which you like because you like it, not what scale it is

a longer scale is handy when you play for cante with a cejilla, as it gives you a little more room to the frets .. also the longer scale does give a little extra tension which is good with a low action being slightly cleaner. I make 660mm and 655mm for flamenco. almost never 650mm although some of the greatest flamencos were 650mm

Scale length is something I dont consider to be very important. The changes in string tension and space for the fingers when playing with a cejilla is hypothetical or theoretical in my opinion.
The pulsation of the guitar is much more important in the feel of a guitar. Hard pulsation makes 650mm guitars feel bige and visa versa. A good friend of mine, who is very convinced she can only play 650mm guitars tested a blanca of mine a few weeks ago. She like it a lot and commented on how easy it was to play. She got very surprised when I told her it was a 660mm scale.

If you have big hands, there is no reason for not playing 660mm scale. If you are going to place an order, I would suggest 660mm scale and 54mm nut width. If you are oing to buy a used guitar, buy one that you like

If you have 'sausage fingers' then neck width is something you should look into. Just long fingers perhaps you should look into neck thickness also. I have how ever played a 670mm which i found to be a little difficult to play when open but great with a capo!
