I am a member off and on there. It is a great place with lots of great information. I learn for awhile then disenroll and let things soak in then sign up again. It is because I am slow and the money comes and goes. I think Jason is cool with that and expects some people will come and go as their needs dictate. I have come back in the past and definately will come back again. If you try to soak in too much, you will be overwealmed. Have fun,
Rod

Hey Nigel where are you ? i am coming to Sidney for some shows..are you in Sidney ? gonna fly up there and back on weekends for reherhals and then stay the last week before show, we should have a beer if u there or anyone in Sidney.. i signed up cause i am nervous cause for some shows im accompanying a singer that toured with Paco pena and been accompanyed by some of the biggest names in guitar, and i wont get much rehershal time with him...just need a refresh course and to double check what i think i know, i dont wanna meet him and start guessing my way around..Jasons very acomodating and helpfull, gonna take full advantage of his experience..need piece of mind

doing all palos that u dont get to practice everyday in australia...cana, tarantos..etc

mostly everyone just does Spb, Alegrias, tangos, bulerias, solea, sev , farucca etc..

starting now i am on a 16 hours a day practice regime.....or however long i can stay up lol

as well as i made a cd for the car of nothing but Cana and Tarantos..i should be an expert by the time i get there...and il correct the singer jk.

You know you can upload vids there that Jason will comment on and give advice on. It is in depth and he obviously puts time in to try to help you improve. I have not done it yet though...

Sure Kevin, I do Skype lessons quite a bit lately. Send me an email and we can set up something. I record a video of the lesson on my end and email it to you after the class.
Skype isn't the greatest for audio, but it works good enough to get the point across and students can study the video afterwards in depth.

Flo,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about my place. I couldn't keep some much material flowing over there without Nigel. Without him handling all of the transcriptions I couldn't keep things moving like we have done over the past year.

There are some new improvements coming to my site soon. I will make an announcement about them soon. We are beginning to test some new ways of playing the videos and looking at possibly using a different score/tab display method. I can tell you for certain that the forum there is going to be redone and will be much easier to navigate and will have ALL the good things a forum should have. I am getting some help finally from a really good developer and he has some really cool ideas.

There are SO many new lessons I have planned, the problem is time. I want to have all of my compositions available but there is such a need for compas and accompaniment.
I am going to finish up this huge batch of dance/cante lessons I have in the que and then probably will do my Rondeña solo. People have been asking for that one.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. I think its great that some people sign up for a month and then work on this and come back when they are ready for more. Some people have more time and learn faster some slower. It can accomodate both types of student.

I just signed up too after months of being skint, and there's loads more on there than I thought there would be - it's going to take a while to get through the beginners stuff even!! Looking forward to a weekend of playing, playing and more playing - it's not often I get the chance.

Hi Jason, if you redo anything, I think your score/tab method should be first of the list. It doesn'f play right on my computer and I can't be bothered to troubleshoot the problem - and when I am learning I like to be able to see more of the score then what is shown now without hitting the next page button. I can understand you don't want it to appear all over the internet, but I think without your very clear videos and commentary that the tab alone won't cause people to skip your website. In other words, I don't think people will try and rip you off. Realize also that someone can printscreen and cut and paste the image into a longer document to show the full score. There are always work arounds...

Good to hear about the forum update. It is a great resource for your students and it is great you are so responsive to questions!

Anyways, I bit off three months recently and I will sign-up for more in the fall when I have more time. A month on and then a rest to catch-up seems like a good idea for me. Cheers
