Ruben...... c'mon bro. I asked you first. You give an analysis of my arrangement first, even though you couldn't possibly learn anything from it. No time limit, just when you get around to it. Wouldn't that be fair Mr.Ruben? Why is it that my authority is in question if I don't play a tangos by Paco, McLaughlin and Dimeola? I have never spoken ill about them..... well, a little about Al, but he sets himself up for that. You did however insult me. And for that reason, I ask that you analyze my arrangement. Here it is again just in case you missed it.... http://caminosflamencos.com/bien%20paga.mp3 Why is it Ruben that I bother you so much? Had you not spoken poorly of me and others here, your lessons would be hailed as generous and you would be celebrated around here. It seems as though you aim to expose me as a deception or a fraud or something like that. Have I ever made a claim that was in some way untrue? Ironically, it does appear that perhaps you yourself have been somewhat deceptive in how you represent yourself. Nationality isn't much of an issue to people around here, but it does seem strange when a person claiming to be from Spain doesn't actually have the accent of someone from there. Where is it you said you are from? As far as the "authority" that I may have in this foro, I have always tried to be helpful, approachable and humorous more than an "authority". Something about that seems pompous. Ruben to be fair.....you picked on me first. I made my presence in this thread first to defend some other teachers that you made statements about. It than became clear to me that it was I that you truly have a beef with. Why? It don't play with "Paco de Lucia" technique. That is your unique niche in the world of flamenco. What is it with Jason McGuire being Jason McGuire that you have such trouble with? After all you have said about me..... I still maintain that you are a great player and that you do indeed have something to offer students in the areas of technique and the music of Paco de Lucia. I am sure there are many other things you have to offer as well. I hope that the students you teach can filter out the negativity that you seem to possess. The art of flamenco would be better off without the cultivation of attitudes like your own.
