Jose Manuel Leon's 'Sirimusa'

I got the album a few days abck and I cannot stop listening to it.... He's soooo good! Great technique, amazing playing dynamics with an amazing sense of rhythm... all this with a HUGE Conde blanca sound!!
This is the future of flamenco guitar!

I like some his ideas on his album as well..however there are some tracks that are really out there and I'm not too crazy about but thats his style. I'd like to see this guy and Antonio Rey live cause they are just incredible. The alegria reminds me a lot of PdL's La Barrosa.

His Conde blanca does sound great and surprisingly its not from the Felipe quinto taller its from Atocha. I have an Atocha Conde as well year 2000 and it sounds very similar if not exactly like it - dry, quick and woody. Which I'd like to mention that I'm still thinking of selling if there are interests

Glad you like it! Its really futuristic and in some parts "over my head" to be honest. But the sound is amazing as you say. The first time i heard it, i was shocked. Its so "upfront", in your face. I think its more a recording trick than the guitar, what do you think?

The alegrias totally sounds like La Barossa... How much are you selling the Conde for DonS?
I also got Antonio Rey and Jesus Torres' albums... Music wise my fav is Jesus Torres but they are all really good guitarists!

I dunno Deniz... I also got the same impression... I put it in my sound system and cranked it and that huge Conde sound literally hit me in my chest!!
I would say that there's definitely some studio tricks in there... but it also has a lot to do with his hands and his technique.

For you a special price! j/k. I just heard this a lot when I was in Spain looking for a guitar. I was selling it for $5000 but *might* will consider reasonable offers. Its in excellent condition etc no issues. Visit the link below and PM me if you'd like more info:

They really are very talented... Style wise I find Leon to be the most unique out of the 3, even maybe hard to get into (i've always loved free jazz so i really like some of the more adventurous stuff on this album). It's incredible how distinctive both his sound and his style are for a player of such a young age... It's very special as you say Matic. I really wasn't expecting this album to hit me like that! I cannot pick up my guitar at the moment!

That said the 3 of them are really great and fresh!

I have Torres and Rey but I agree I find Leon to be the most unique. BTW, I couldn't upload here so for those that emailed me for a sound clip you can check out my Conde clip under Audio/Video uploads or here:

Hi again everyone,

I'm so happy I bought those three albums, it's been a while since i bought 'toque' albums... i usually just go for 'cante' ones now... but this was a very pleasant surprise.
Is there any other young and upcoming guitarist I should check out?
Thanks for the recommendations.

The "Rejas de Bronce" track on this album is unbelievable. Why on Earth would someone combine tiento, tango, tanguillo, and buleria into a single four-minute track?!
