Morricone Arrangement

From one of my all time favourite movies, a nice guitar arrangement, but the stumming in the ending is a bit weak - a nice flamenco rasgueo would help that. Some nice finger arpeggio patterns. I love morricone melodies... the ecstasy of gold! I can see Tuco running around the graveyard looking for Arch Stanton's grave marker in my head. Wow!

one of my faves! tuco and that weird run of his!

here's a great updated arrangement for a nike ad:

(a better version. didn't know that david fincher directed it. no wonder)

after viewing this with some people that were much younger than me, i had to pop in the movie because they had no idea about the "ecstasy of gold" sequence.

damn kids.

Morricone is one of the greatest living composers, but I always thought any guitar arrangements I heard so far were pretty weak. The one in the original post is nice though, thanks for that.

Ok, sorry if this is offensive to some but can't help it....I was laughing thinking "well, you marricones work out any arrangement you like!"

I've actually never been a super-fan of the Dollars films (Like 'em; just not nuts about 'em), and have always preferred Once Upon A Time in the West. Used to have that soundtrack on LP and would listen to it regularly.

Duck, You Sucker! is also a fave, and that has a notably weird soundtrack which would pose some pretty serious creative challenges if one were to try an arrangement!

Obviously has some crude sections but it can be helpful. The word you ask about is there.

Man, Duck You Sucker is SO underrated. It seems as if everybody keeps forgetting about it whenever they talk about Leone.

Blasphemer! Actually, OUTITW is very good - Henry Fonda as the BAD guy?? genius - and it does have Claudia Cardinale
