1st one:
short and sweet. the main falsetta part is all pulgar and legatto. some arpegio work in the remates. three finger rasgueados. lots of golpes.

RE: Beginners' Solea Challenge (in reply to at_leo_87

i have tabs for all of these. each one progressively gets more difficult as they build on the previous one.

they sound a lot harder than they actually are. i think anybody can learn and play them within competition standards within a month.

some of them are long so we can always do a truncated version.

out of the ones i uploaded, i would vote for either the 1st or 5th one.

Wow thanks! Brilliant suggestions, but now we have to make a decision

I'd like to suggest the first part of number 3. I think is good because it has a lot of variety. But because it is quite long, we could just play the first half - up til 1.07.

Would that be OK with everyone? I think it would be a really useful bit of solea to have mastered.

OK fellow beginners, please let me know because we are going to start this weekend!

i hope i didn't make things difficult by uploading too many suggestions. it's like being at a restaurant and not knowing what to eat because the menu is the size of a dictionary.

(in my best waiter posture and voice:) fine choice, madam! will you be having wine this evening?

i'll post the tabs, slowed down version, notes, etc. if we end up using one of my suggestions.

Yeah! Number 3 is, and half of it is enough, IMO.

Man, I'm so confused trying to follow which thread has the suggestions for the challenge and which has the uploads (1st beginners' challenge thread, another beginners' challenge thread, or beginners' solea challenge!)
OK, so consensus is for the first half of #3?
These are from Gerhard G-M, correct? (I think that was mentioned in the other thread).
I think the thing I like about G G-M's exercises is that they are good, but don't sound TOO good, so it's not disheartening that you can't manage to sound like the recording (if you have a flamenco-enough sounding guitar).

I really like those pieces!

Independantly of the challenge: where can one get the tabs? where are they from?
Or are they you're own?

arash, i've found your advice very helpful over the past fifteen minutes. for a week or so now i've felt more like a classical guitarist playing out because my rasgueados lacked that oomph. i feel that i've finally got a grasp on the correct approach to this technique. thank you =]

i'm entirely with ruispelto inre horny.
