It's a sad and dark day for the world of punk.

Thanks for the tunes, Lux.

Good bye Lux!

Nothing better than kicking back, dancing at the Luv-A-Fair with beer in hand... to Cramps tunes and others... time stands still for no one. Those days are long gone.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."

damn, i didn't hear the news. one of the best shows i ever saw was in 85, the cramps at a new years show at the warner theater in DC with the butthole surfers and dead milkmen. lux drank two bottles of wine on stage, smashing each bottle afterwards, and was crunching the glass under his bloody bare feet the entire show.

sad day.

This might sound nutty, but punk always seemed to me to be a bit like Flamenco vs. classical music; rebellion vs. the status quo and intense emotions vs. intellectualism.

BTW, thanks for the post!

Heeyouch, that's a line-up! Psychic, Powerless... and Big Lizard have always been two of my fave mid-80s discs......
