Well, I watched the weather forecast, which somehow needed to be accompanied by music and graphics and a gushing presenter in case nobody would be able to take on this important information without every sort of visual and aural aid. Next, there was a programme about "Survival in the Sahara". At a point, the presenter, crawling on his hands and knees and gasping breathlessly at the camera, said "In the Sahara you need about 1 litre of water per hour, otherwise you are going to DIE! Look, this little flask is all I've got....If I don't find a source of water soon...then I'm afraid I've had it...I'm already feeling the first symptoms of dehydration. Now this is despite the Film Cameraman, Sound Recordist, Director, Make-Up Artist and Drivers/Roadies and Helicopter Back-up. Do people really watch this crap and believe it? Even the programmes are like the commercials....Jeez! What a world. cheers, Ron
