Hello from New Zealand

Hi guys!

You must be wondering what the hell is Melchor doing in New Zealand and what relation has this with flamenco. Actually the reason why I am here is because of flamenco. When I lived in Spain and work as a Spanish teacher one of my students was a flamenco dancing student from Wellington and we built a very good relationship We used to go to the penas and flamenco concerts. Still we keep in touch. She promised that she would come back to Jerez but she is ill and doesn't have much money at the moment so I decided to come and see her and this beautiful country. My meaning here is how flamenco has helped me to find friends all over the world and how flamenco has travelled all around the world.

Un saludo a todos

Melchor

No explaination needed Melchor. All that matters is that your having a good time and your friend is happy to see you.

I hope to one day be able to meet you and others here. I get to meet Eddie in a couple of weeks. That's one down, many many more to go.

Take care my friend and have a great vacation. Thought your airline had got off-course there for a moment. New Zealand is my father's favourite country of all his travels. Give them my regards and watch out for "hairy feet"

You going to the Jerez feria in May? Would be good to hook up again.

Yeah I think I'll go for a couple of days, that's all I have. Don't know exactly when. I have to check when I come back. By the way this country is beautiful. Un abrazo.

You should try it people, it puts things in perspective. BTW - Fergus is muy flamenco.

I took a week off from the guitar, had to coz of moving house. Man was I rusty when I picked it up again. But I really agree after a solid period of pracite its always good take a break something to do with the way the creative learning process works you need ime to asmilate what you've been learning. I heard they did one of those silly test where there where two teams to play backet-ball (could have been anything) one time thought about playing and the other team did nothing when it came to playing suprise suprise the team that had been thinking about it were better - just goes to show everything starts in the mind/heart.

Melchor I'm sure you are having fun!! I wish I could make the feria. Jerez is fading to memory for me too but on the bright side, the more it fades the closer my next trip gets. Sean's right about your heart. Un abrazo and catch up with you when you get back.
