rice donation through internet

This is very off topic, but I just found this on the internet and I think it's a great initiative.
For each word you get right, they donate 20 grains of rice to help end world hunger. Maybe not so much, but the more people play the 'game', the more rice they donate.
And ofcourse you can also practice your knowledge of English (which isn't quite unnecessary in my case).

Great idea, good word game too, tough at times even if you speak good english. I clocked up about 1,000 before I realised they meant grains. Guess that's about half a bowl of rice never having counted how many grains there is in a bowl !!! Still very little counts.

It's a known bug in the software as the database is in another time zone and the software cannot deal with it so we are stuck for now

yeah, some of these definitions and synonyms are wrong

for example: lignite does not mean coal. lignite is a type of coal. by that mark bituminous and anthracite should also define coal. but they do not mean coal. they describe the type of coal.

whoever put this thing together obviously didnt check things thru very thoroughly

I didn't even notice that ... I did notice that words are repeated more than you might expect, but I guess that will only help the amount of rice they donate.
