Eva Yerbabuena

Eva Yerbabuena's troupe is coming to Portland Oregon. Has anybody been to her show? I understand she played in London. (Simon)

Hi Pat,

I've not seen this show but she has a great reputation, at least here in Granada where she studied under Mario Maya I believe, just like our Andrés is doing. If you get a chance I'd definitely go, she'll have some great musicians with her as well.

Eva is is the best thing in dancing at the moment in my view(and alot of other pples view too), I am not sure but if her husband comes too (Paco Jarana) brilliant guitarist ! you are set, if you wanna see what shes like get your hands on the Video " Flamenco Women, featuring her , Sara Baras , Guadiana, Montse Cortes, Jose Jimenez and many others.

Eva is my most enduring memory of the baile side of things from my first trip to Jerez last year and i saw an awful lot of concerts. Incredible presence and energy and her solea had me in bits. If she was performing this year i'd go again.

I know what you mean Patrick, but trust me i would swap 5 Paco Pena shows for 1 Eva la Yerbabuena. Eva is as good as it gets, and so would her musiceans be.
