One of them seems to feature Paco as "One of the greats". Playing what looks like a factory guitar.

On page 190, Mr. Mairants wrote the following sentence about Paco's nails. How is it possible for a pro player giving concerts regularly?

On the contrary, I believe it is the Ramirez top model flamenco guitar. I am certain someone handed it to him for the photo shoot, but forgot to give him shoes.

Also in October 1963 (his first visit), looking very young indeed.

In addition, there are full-page solos (in staff notation) from James Yohai:

1970 November & December
1971 January, February & December
1972 February, October, November & December
1973 January through May
1976 April

P.S. Oh, and an obituary for Niño Ricardo by Ivor Mairants in February 1973, p. 153.

I remember seeing the April 1970 edition in the Rito y Geografia interview with Paco in his home. He must have been pretty proud of it and kept it along with his awards and stuff, so I just had to have one for my studio too.

I couple of years ago, Paco Serrano thanked a Facebook friend for sending him a copy of the July 1988 issue of Guitar International, in which he had the cover story.

But I know the editor sent him a copy at the time (I saw it in his apartment): I guess it got lost

Peter Tottenham wrote a monthly column about flamenco from Aug. 1966 to July 1967. I haven't read them yet. All look interesting. I wonder who P. Tottenham is. Maybe a foro member.

Even earlier, there was a column called The Art of Flamenco which was started by Peter Sensier in December 1953 and continued by one Michael E. Fisher from April ’54.

From the perspective of these days, it’s like looking back at the Middle Ages: no Lucía, and no one outside Spain (and Mexico) had even heard of Sabicas…

Awesome. Thanks. I read everything what P. Sensier wrote. Enjoyed and learnt something new. It also has 2 rare pictures I've never seen before. Perrico del Lunar and young Melchor de Marchena.

BTW, not a peep in either of these issues about an English connection (which one would think the BMG magazine at that time would boast about). Coupled with my own verification that the claim "Juan Martin appears in Lives and Legends of Flamenco in the non-Spanish guitarists section" is false (have the first edition), this settles it for me - nothing to see there.
