Carmen Linares in London

Carmen Linares was in London this week as part of the Sadlers Wells Flamenco festival and for the UK launch of Verso a Verso. She was fantastic, but I was even more blown away by Marina Heredia who was singing with her. There were a few moments where her stage presence and delivery held absolute command of the auditorium: glimpses that suggest she's one of those rare performers who has it within herself to leave an audience both totally devastated and absolutely elated at the end of the night. I hope I'm lucky enough to get the chance to witness such a thing one day...
