The homenaje was very well presented by Jesús Quintero "El Loco de la Colina" who showed several of his interviews with Beni, of which this is one. It was a long night: al cante Antonio Reyes, José Anillo, Carmen de la Jara, Felipe Scapachini, Alejandro Silva. Best were Carmen and José. Al toque, Diego de Morao, Pituquete, Adriano Lozano and Juan Josá Alba. Best by far was Juan José, worst by far was Diego del Morao. Dorantes accompanied Antonio Reyes on the piano por seguiriyas, but this debácle is best forgotten. A very good comparsa de Carnaval, who had composed an emotional pasadoble in honour of Beni and presented a plaque to his hija. Teatro de pie. Then an astonishing performance by Rosario Toledo, bailando por alegrías, to the cante of Miguel Rosendo y la guitarra de Juan José. She too had the whole theatre de pie. A long night, but very enjoyable, with an excellent bocadillo de carne mechá en el descanso
