Need a bone saddle??

If any of you need a bone saddle/replacement for your saddle, I would recommend considering Bob Colosi at http://www.guitarsaddles.com/. I have utilized his services before, for a steel string saddle, and now for my Yamaha CG-171SF. He's a great guy to deal with, I've spoken with him on the phone several times- and his service is outstandingly prompt! Granted, he only is about 50 miles from me- still, I shipped him my saddle to copy on a Thursday afternoon- and Saturday afternoon, I received my original back- plus a beautifully polished bone replacement. Prior orders resulted in just as quick a return of the new and original saddle. He has a lot of stock saddles, but for our purposes, it would be best to send your original in for him to duplicate. Instructions come with the new saddle for fitting to your guitar.

I have a CG-171SF to do next time I change the strings , but I will do it myself although I have a compensated bone saddle and nut to make fit , although the nut will be the same the saddle may come down a bit so I wouldn't want one EXACTLY the same, there will be a bit of experimentation, but I keep the originals in case I need to go back to them. I think if I was near him I would arrange to go with the whole guitar for the final bit ...Except I'm in Europe anyway....

Yes, I have tried their service, Bob was very helpful. I have upgraded my martin guitar with bone saddle provided by him and for fender guitar I opt in for Macnichol both were good and helpful. I will definitely buy a spare Bone Saddles from them.
