Hello everyone!

Although I've been around flamenco through one way or another all my life (family, friends, etc), and had the bug to learn how to play it, just recently have I purchased a guitar and gotten a bit more into this wonderful culture.

My family and background is from Ecuador and Colombia (where there is a very rich flamenco and bullfighting culture), but I currently live in central america where flamenco is not that big.

I purchased a blanca made from a Felipe Conde plan from a local luthier. I'm not an expert by any means but I think it sounds well, and plays easy although there are some quirks that I'm still working out with the luthier.

Glad to be here and looking forward to learn from all of you!!!

Hola,

Welcome to the foro! Where in Central America if you don't mind me asking? Since you are getting into flamenco guitar, my best recommendation is to get a flamenco guitar teacher. Trying to learn on your own with books and videos can be done, but it is slow and frustrating. And bad habits are difficult to get rid of.

Mike
