Luthiers, any opinions? What do you think? is it just a hype?

RE: neck revolution (in reply to beno

hard to say if it works or not. however, there are other ways to get a fast neck. i recently stripped off the poly goop-poop on a cordoba classical guitar, did a little reshaping of the neck and then finished it with semi-gloss polyurethane. the neck is much faster. i can drag my finger along the back of the guitar (glossy goop-poop) and then up the neck and the difference is significant. i suspect had i taked a high grit paper to the neck and made the neck more matte than glossy the effect would have been the same.
