Apologies in advance, because I can't embed videos using this tiny phone. However, you must go to youtube and check out Vito Gaarin play rumba and gypsy music. It wil blow you away. It really blows.

Worry not, akatune. I shall do the embedding for you. Here you go!
I'm usually nice, but I just can't pass up this opportunity. I guess Doit's frequent posting got to me, so here goes.
Is this Johnny Depp a.k.a. Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean playing the guitar?
I am NOT saying anything you didn't already say, but this "really blows."
Sorry!
I just watched every single one of his videos - all the actual pieces he plays are awful, as per my taste - unfortunately. The instructional videos he has - some of them are cool strumming patterns.
<----- He demonstrates three golpes with x, a, and m, but when he does it fast, they become one...
<----- In this video, I believe he is trying to do a tresillo around 0:09 and 0:17, but it's not working well...

By the way. That shield on the guitar looks like a homemade slab of plexiglass.
I like it though!

They are all the same notes with a different pummeling, I mean rhythm. This is all the encouragement I need to practice.
If what you aspire to reach in your guitar journey is what this gentleman is doing, then by all means, please do as he instructs. However, if this is NOT what you aspire to reach, then by Jove, shy away from his videos! Notice that he has two stick-on nails on his right hand, which shows that he is indeed doing more of pummeling than he is actual playing. I think he is being too aggressive and showy, and people who do not know what flamenco or even rumba guitar is about will be impressed. However, I believe you should NOT get lured in by his fancy golpes, but rather get pushed somewhat away by his weak left hand. Maybe learn a couple of his strumming patterns, but surely don't do them super-hard the way he does, and if anything, make sure NOT to indulge in his compositions because I felt they were too weak, even for my rudimentary compositional skills.
(I think I just connected with Ruphus in this post of mine! )

At least I am always honest and wont fake. Just take my jokes with a grain of salt. You know, text is so often misunderstood. I hate communicating via text.
I bet this is the most offensive statement you have made in your life

I agree about communication through text. It's always better to have face-to-face conversations...
