Beirut Vocal Point / AUB Choir and C...

This is something a couple of my choir friends decided to do to relieve some of the exam-related stress before everyone heads off for the holidays.

And here are a couple of videos of our Christmas concert (the American University of Beirut, AUB, Choir and Choral Society). You can see me on the top-most riser on the far right of the screen (I'm the guy to the left of that LAST guy).

Let me know what you think!

The vocal harmonies in the two flash mob vids were really good! I didn't get to the other two.

How important is Christmas in Muslim countries?

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a "Muslim country," and does NOT celebrate Christmas whatsoever. Lebanon is a very religiously-diverse country (nearly 50% Muslim, and 50% non-Muslim), and thus Christmas is FULLY celebrated here (even by NON-Christians).

Wouldn't that be NON-Christians?

Anyway--christmas is over, so have a happy new year!

When I worked in Saudi they didn't appear to do a lot of celebrating of anything much, apart from The Hajj I guess, so I hung out with the Lebanese and Jordanians

Great videos, thanks!

Hey Ramzi,

I thought the first two videos were great!

To be honest, I'm so out of touch that I'd never even heard of a "Flashmob" before until Kate posted a thread on it!

I really like the term "Flashmob"!!

Good stuff!

cheers,

Ron
