A "Red Green"

Here's a rosette that will wake you up in the morning!

This is the hand made rosette on my new Aaron Green blanca. Aaron wanted to do something a bit wild. That he did.

OK, the first person to find the mistake he made gets a slightly used set of LaBella strings. If you're wrong, you get two sets!

Aaron didn’t even know he made the error until it was finished and Dennis Koster caught it.

upper right corner by the finger board. The center inlaid row starts with two stripe-filled boxes instead of alternating them as they appear everywhere else.

Keep the used La Bellas, I have lots of them laying around.

Pat,
Is that two "wavy" horizontal lines in a row instead of the sequence " horizontal, then vertical bars" from the bottom of the fingerboard?
If you don't want the guitar, I'll send you my address. LOL!
Hey...maybe Aaron meant it to look that way?

cheers

Ron

Ron,

You are correct, but Jamey beat you. Oh well, I'll just have to send you a bunch of used strings anyway!

No, Aaron hadn't caught it until he had driven from Boston to NY to have Dennis play it. Dennis saw it right off the bat. It took me a day or so to see it. I talked to Aaron and told him about it. Of course he already was aware from Dennis. He was trying to pull my leg about how the Eastern culture builds in mistakes. I stopped him and said, "Man we are not talking Oriental rugs here"! We both had a good laugh over that one.

When you work so close building a rosette I am sure it is a bit of the "you can't see the forest for the trees" syndrome.

Think of it as that extra bit of character that helps make your Green a unique guitar.

Send Ron all of the strings, else you'll start a used-strings-by-mail war (you forget, I have your address as well ).

I think the best part of this thread is the Red Green reference. I didn't think folks outside of Canada knew about the Red Green show! "Guys, just remember, if the gals don't find ya handsome, at least they'll find ya handy".

Jamey,

I love Red Green. Unfortunately we don't get it anymore. For those not familiar with Red Green, he is the "Red Neck" version of Monty Python.

Time for the meeting to start. Were did I put that duct tape? (Only Jamey will get this)

Patrick, mistakes like these should not be acceptable in a guitar of this caliber. Go ahead and send it to me.

Tom,

It's on its way as soon as I get your check for $7,000.
