Creating your own falsetas

Just wondering, those who write their own falsetas, how do you approach making one? It would be great to have multiple inputs

usually I try to "steal" one falseta and then tweek a little bit (I'll throw some jazzy vibe) until I'm satisfied with it

Ive written a couple. Just keep in compas and remain in the service of el Arte.

Pay attention to not let your non-flamenco music tastes have an inappropriate effect on your choice of notes and rhythm.

I think the most important thing is the compas
IMO first you can't write any falseta without feeling the compas very very well
I usually write buleria falsetas because I can feel its compas very well
second you need to have musical knowledge I mean play as much as you can different pieces to have a big knowledge of how musical notes work together then you will be able to combine your own ones

I would say that before one begins to write their own falsettas, they would need
to learn a great many falsettas.

For instance, one could probably not write a very good book, without first reading hundreds of books. You cant write a book, without first understanding what makes a good book.

You learn, say, Solea falsettas until you start to understand the common thread that joins them all together. They all have the same basic ingredients.

Kind of like baking a cake. All cakes have flour, eggs, milk, etc etc.,, yet there are endless variations, and types of cakes.

There arent really any original ideas. There are only continuations, and variations of existing ideas.
