Gipsy Kings Cordoba model. It is now "out of print". You can get the same guitar w/out the Gipsy Kings label, but it is cheaper.

Also I have Condes. And one Hermanos Sanchis maple back flamenco that is very special.

Hi MKodji,

I have a 1993, one of the first made, R.E. Brune 30f. Mr Brune has informed me that less than 24 of these guitars were made. The sound is fantastic and the action ultra low.

I previously owned a Joan Cashimira 105. For the money (EUR 1500) it was an excellent handmade guitar.

wow, i didnt know that. I love mine so much. I may have the very last one
they made. I believe its 24, im not positive.
Its the best sounding and
playing guitar ive ever owned, by far.
Perfect intonation, and stellar fretwork. And exactly the sound i was
looking for from a blanca.

Cant see myself wanting another guitar for a long time.

Lately, there's been a bit of a fuss to find these guitars. Richard should
make some more of these for a year or so. He could fetch alot more
for them now.

I'd love that, thanks. I knew it was a limited run, but i didnt realize
i had the last, or one of the last ones. I looked at the label just now,
and its 24.
Crazy!

I'll email you...

RE: I am always curious..... (in reply to MKodji

I have just bought a Pedro de Miguel Negra 1A from Tom Nunez at La Falseta.

It arrived a couple of weeks ago - up until then I played the student model Manuel Rodriguez C3F - Which I must say is a very good guitar. The tone, action and playbility are excellent when you consider the price.

However, the Pedro de Miguel is, of course, a class apart. Can't leave the thing alone...

1998 Dominguez blanca - Very well balanced sound but not quite as flamenco as the others. Perfect for gigs where I have to play Spanish classical repertoire such as Albeniz as well as flamenco but can only bring one guitar.

1979 Valeriano Bernal negra - Down and dirty sound, slightly nasal with a killer growl. took a while to get used to but I'm very fond of it now.

2006 Pedro Maldonado 1F - Completely brilliant. Everything I've ever wanted in a guitar - about the only guitars I've played that I've liked better have been by Reyes (which are out of my price range)

2004 David argent Classical - latice braced classical guitar, similar in construction to Greg Smallman's guitars but more traditional sounding.

- Aloysius.

I have an '88 Gerundino ( with no original label ) and a ricardo sanchis '87 with cedar top.

When I am recovered from remodeling the house I'm gonna get me an ANDERS because I believe they're really good.

Maybe I'm gonna use the other two to stir up the fire on a cold winternight.

Also have a 1996 Andres Dominguez which is ok, sounds alot better when tuned for something like a Rondena... What to buy next decisions decisions..

i have a 2005 Ramírez FL-2, a blanca with excellent balanced tone, powerful and just about anything sounds great on her - only thing is that her intonation has slight problems but it's not too bad...

I own a Yamaha CG-171SF guitar. There are many like it, but this one is special because it is mine.

For a factory guitar with a low price, it has a nice low action, sounds great, and stays in tune. Perfect guitar for beginners like me!

I was thinking the same.

Wow great response to the Thread, Iwasn't expecting this much response. Thank you all.

I noticed, no one has "Plazuelo" or Bellido" and these guys are suppose to make hign end guitars....? Anyone. The reason why I ask is because I noticed some dealers who carry them in the US and that might be worth trying if we can't afford "Reyes"

I am also in waiting list for Aaron Green blanca

Patrick,

You have probably heard this before but how do you compare the Devoes to the Green. I know they are both good guitars but I am very curious about Green.

I have tried several Devoes, one better than the other, I think they are world class guitars but have never played Green and I know people put them in the same level?

Any feedback?

Mike,

Yes I have had many requests for info. I think I have helped keep Aaron somewhat busy over the last few years.

Yes, without a doubt Aaron's guitars are world, world class. I am very critical of guitars. If I don't like it, it goes. Suffice it to say I will likely never sell my Green blanca. Aaron’s workmanship is impeccable and in my (and others) opinion, is one of the best builders in the world today and I don’t think he is even thirty years old yet.

I haven’t played one of his negra’s, but I hear they are even better than his blanca’s! I am on his waiting list for a Brazilian.

Now is a Green right for everyone? We all know the answer to that. Here is something to think about. How many Green’s have you seen for sale?

Well Jim,
Even Paco Peña said that 6 guitars is about all he could cope with at the same time.
That's why he offered to sell me his "spare" guitar, Arcangel Fernandez at £300 in Edinburgh back then (1970)!

cheers,

Ron

Well none. But compared to Devoe, when did Aaron start building guitars?....I doubt that there are as many Greens as there are Devoes out there...Devoe started building long time ago...So I am not sure if the answer to your question justifies that Green might be better than Devoe... Not that you ever said that...

The question that I have is whether Green is better than a Devoe sound wise and playability wise.

Thanks, Mike
