left hand action level on PDL guitar

I was watching one of PDL's documentaries and came across this particular scene. I took a photo of it and was wondering if you guys have noticed how high the action looks here?

I have heard about the guitar being very difficult to play but did not expect the action to be this high.

It is pretty “normal” to me. You can also tell by how far down the strings go when he presses. Also here is a nice perspective section at 3:38 you can see by his thumb how nice and low it is on the bridge side and when he presses the strings it is not so bad. Same shot helps to shoot down the rumor that he powers the stroke from the middle joint for picado scales.

The string height at the nut is high. I can’t see the rest of the guitar neck in the photo and the video Ricardo posted isn’t clear.

Not sure about that Paco bust tough!

I know its young Paco, but something a bit off key about the likeness

I see, for some reason he left hand picture showed high tension but the right hand is reasonable in the video
