Great interview, and rare being in English.

Wow. A great interview. At 5:32 I'm glad that Paco mentioned it. It just gave me extra motivation. When I started to play guitar many years ago I read something like - it's easy to learn to play guitar, but it's very difficult to master it.

Simple words but so much power in them, feeling, inspiration: Dounde!

Haha, what about mushrooms?! But another way of interpreting that is .. for the non pro player who takes a long break from playing because they loose the inspiration, when it comes back again you say dang! I wish I hadn’t wasted all that time in between!

Glad to hear even the maestro himself suffered from the annoyance of nails! I’ve heard him say this in other interviews but always makes it better to hear him say it!

Indeed. But hardly a surprise, in view of the ciggy clamped yet again between the index and middle of his right hand.

At least it wasn’t cancer, like Ramón.

This is great, thank you Ricardo. I thought I read that he didn't speak english, but maybe that was a decade or more before he made this interview.

Back in ~2004 myself and a friend got a picture with him back stage and he spoke English just as well! He was even asking us if we were guitar players and all that, like you could tell he was comfortable speaking it.

I share PDL's sentiments - if I take 2 to 3 days off it is like starting over. I just do not currently have that discipline.

Cheers

I could deal with 2-3 days. So no problem. More than a week can be problematic. Last time I haven't practiced for about 15 days. After 2-3 practice sessions everything became normal again.
How about you guys?
