I have a 1990 Antonio Marin Montero blanca that I acquired about 3 years ago for $5.5K. It was kind of musty and dusty when I first got it. Allegedly it was owned by someone who did not play flamenco and he just decided to sell it because it was just laying around and not getting played. I think that he may have kept it under his bed because inside were a few dust bunnies and it had a musty fragrance. I vacuumed it out and gave it a couple of shots of Febreeze [for real!]. This allowed the fragrance of the wood to come out and as I played it, it opened up very nicely and has an excellent tone. It looks a little used, but it is not banged up or scarred and there are no cracks or repairs. It is light weight and very comfortable to hold and play [It is definitely one of my favorites]. It has machine tuners.
I am not an expert at pricing guitars, but I have bought, traded, and sold a whole bunch of them [I am not a dealer]. My best guess is that the A.M. Montero that you described would be worth between $4K and $5K depending on the market and the level of interest a buyer would have in a vintage flamenco guitar.
It sounds like a sweet little guitar.

Diago is my hero. I think he is mugging cause there is a camera, kinda like a big FU, I like that he was a lone wolf not part of the system kind of guy, but then again that could have been a schtick as well. Guess we will never know.
I havnt the experience to know but find his playing understated and true most of the time but then he knows how to work an audience, I've seen this more then once where he is giving the cantor and the crowd jelos (?) mid cord.
Perhaps it is how he seems to be loving it all, life, his guitar, and he could give a rats ass if there are only eighteen frets...
