Thanks for this, just gave his release a listen.

The piece with Ara Malikian is interesting. I watched some of his YouTube concerts some time back and was sufficiently turned off by the over-the-top staging and his general schtick that I haven’t listened to him since. But I quite like what he does on ‘Seré un Recuerdo’, even if it is a bit ‘showy’. Maybe I should open my mind a bit and check him out again.

He is a genius. I know him and have seen him several times in solo concert. He also does concerts for children, with much humour. Vale la pena de verle en directo.

That’s all the recommendation I need. I’m listening to his “The Incredible Story of Violin” as I type this. I like the Alice in Wonderland style artwork on the cover. :)

*add* I’ve also been listening to the collaborations he’s done with José Luis Montón...getting a lot of mileage out of this recommendation!

I saw him play with Sara Baras a couple of years ago. I wanted to go back the next night just to see/hear him play again, but it's a 3 hour journey to the venue and 3 hours back plus the cost of the theatre and train tickets... but he was freakin brilliant!

Thanks for posting. I like his aire when accompanying, there are a few clips in this video.
