Going to build a flamenco guitar

Hola, all...

A local builder of beautiful flamenco and classical guitars here in San Diego, Bob Hein:

http://robertheinguitars.com/

is going to apprentice me with my first guitar; a peghead flamenco blanca. First, I am a master craftsman with wood, custom jewelery cases, furniture, yachts etc., so I am not 'stretching'. I thought about this before, but lack of tools specific to building a guitar stopped me. Bob has ALL the tools, jigs, knowledge (he trains at Romanillos), and has offered me a trade, so I'm going to dive in (maybe!) lol

What I want to do is to get the best woods I can, yet try to save some $$, and short of ordering from a seller, I thought I might see if anyone here on FF has anything to sell that maybe they never used, yet would like to see it become a guitar!

I'm seeking:

Spanish/Med Cypress back and side: Good to Master Grade

AAAA to Master Grade German/Carp' Spruce top

Spanish Cedar neck blanks, etc..

I MIGHT just order the kit from LMII.com (does anyone know of any other kits for flamenco guitars???), but don't know if I want to use Monterey Cypress and Englemann spruce, but if you guys might have anything else of interest; a nice bridge, a great piece of Brazilian for the headstock, etc., , I'd like to hear from you.

I know I can order all of this (retail), or get a kit (with the woods they choose), but I thought maybe some guys here might have started and never finished, so....

Any feedback is appreciated, too!

Thanks,

R
