Culpepper #4

Hola fellow flamencos, I haven't posted in a quite a while but thought I would share my thoughts on my Culpepper Cedar top blanca. I purchased it new from Andy in 2010 and since then i've recently had Andy refinish the top as I had it pretty scratched up from gigging and rehearsals. He did a fantastic job and not only re-french polished the top it but installed a new saddle and re-set the action a bit.

It was his #4 and while it was a great instrument prior to the re-finish, his french polish technique has really improved. Action is around 3mm at the 12th with just the right amount of buzz. I highly recommend Andy's guitars.

I was planning on selling it a few years ago when I received my Ruck flamenco but I just couldn't let her go. I've attached a few pix for your review. I'm going to upload a clip so you can hear it; as soon as I figure out how to get it off my phone.

Here's a short clip to give you an idea of the sound. It was recorded on my LG cellphone so not exactly professional :)

Thanks for the nice review! It was great to see #4 again and repair the finish. I was impressed how the sound had matured.
