Almansa or Prudencio Saez? 
Hi all,

I'm looking into getting a flamenco guitar and pursuing this thing properly, but my budget for the foreseeable future is going to be very limited (grad student stipend, etc). I want to train my hands to play flamenco guitar partly for its own sake, but also partly because I find the various compas timings to be fertile ground for musical composition in other genres, and would like to learn to play them properly. It's hard to practice on steel strings.

In any case, I'm wondering if any of you have any insight into either of these two guitars:

1) Almansa 413
2) Prudencio Saez 15

While I have long fingers, my actual palms aren't very big, so if there are any differences in neck measurements, I'd probably just automatically go with the smaller option. I did the same thing with my steel string acoustic (which I adore). Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to try out either of these guitars myself.

Throwing one more guitar into the mix:

Paco Castillo 213f

I'm able to acquire all of these for less than 450 euros, which is fine, since USD and euros are practically level nowadays. Part of me wants to wait until the next time I get back to Spain before buying, but I'm not sure when that will be.

They all seem to have the same specs with nut width and scale length
The Castillo page goes into more detail with measurements as far as I can see
Can't call it as I've only played the Almansa briefly - not so great on right hand action but not uncommon in that price range
I'd look much closer at the Castillo and SAEZ

I'm also leaning toward either the Saez or the Paco Castillo. All three of the guitars seem to have similar dimensions, and I'll have to get used to stretching my left hand out more after years of playing a guitar with a 1.72 inch nut width, but I'm sure it can be done.

It seems like people generally have had positive things to say about both Prudencio Saez and Paco Castillo guitars in the past, and that both are small operations that produce fairly consistent quality in their factory-made instruments. Any preferences?

I've read really good things about Paco Castillo in regards the 215F and the classical 205. Im not sure if that level of quality translates to the lower end guitars, but it probably would

Thanks for that feedback!

I ended up finding a Kremona Rosa Diva at a discount, so I spring for that. I agree that the Paco Castillo 215F looks great, but I'm in grad school for creative writing -- which is another way of saying that it was out of my price range.

The Kremona is sounding nice, though I'm excited to test out different strings on it because I want a bit more treble, I'd say.
