Just fiddling around

So, I havent uploaded any fiddle videos for a while.
2 "standard" irish reels that can be heard and played at most trad sessions in Ireland.

Also to celebrate that its now 4 years ago that I started playing the fiddle again after some 20 years.

Did you build this instrument as well? Great playing!

Great playing and great instrument!
Monaghan is my true last name. My great grandfather was pushed into changing it to Mangum when he got here due to the anti-Irish sentiment at the time.

So as Monty Python said. "now over to something completely different"

6 month ago I decided to widen my musical horizon and started taking online Jazz and blues lessons with Darol Anger. (cool guy)

So here I´m trying to not destroy Thelonius Monk´s composition "Round Midnight"
I should study some more chord progressions for the solo, but there are so many chords in this piece that i get to tired to play, so for now, I use my "inner song" and my intuition. Tell me if thats to far out.
I´m a bit stiff in the start and this on the fiddle always mean intonation problems, but it does get better during the tune.
