Practicing at slow tempo

I've been trying to clean up my rasgueado technique by practicing with the metronome. I'm doing triplets (ami) and 4 groups using 3 fingers (amii) and 4 fingers (xami) per beat. my technique is ok between 100-140 bpm. But it starts to fall apart below 80 bpm - very uneven. Of course, at higher tempos it becomes also uneven and slurred.

I know that this techniques are meant to played fast and there is a different momentum than at lower speeds.

Is it important to spend time cleaning up the technique at slow tempos (if so how slow?) or is it better to practice closer to the target tempo?

Since you know your tempo thresholds above and below, I would work right at those spots until you are comfortable crossing them.

Yes that is kind of what I'm doing. I'm practicing at 100 bpm and moving up little by little. But my question is if it's worth it to practice those techniques below 100 bpm?

I'm practicing the 4 finger rasgueo for the buleria pattern that we have been working on during the last few lessons. You know, the 4 finger rasgueo with the golpe on the third beat. Should I try to get it clean at very slow tempos like 80 bpm? or just concentrate on working my way up to more realistic tempos (towards 180 bpm and above)?
