la caja del duende

OK, I knew the word 'duende' would get everyone's attention

Maybe I spend too much time on eBay, but has anyone else seen this thing?
http://www.recitalbox.de/english/

Worth $75 plus shipping?
Better off playing in your bathroom?
Need to hear it in real life to decide?
Puzzled?

I tried it two or three years ago at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. All I can remember is:

1. Yes, it improves the sound
2. Yes, again a thing I don't need

But:

You could buy more useless things. I just know that I would not use it out of a certain kind of conservativeness and closefistedness. I have a good sounding guitar. It is most usefull for cheaper guitars. It would fit to your cubist guitar though...

Hmmm... a cigar box with springs in it? I think you're onto something there... Mind if I steal your idea? But I'll call mine something better, like 'la caja de Romeo y Julieta', or whatever brand of cigars I find
Just not sure how to get it to 'improve the wood' though...

My avatar is a work of art and I wouldn't think of putting anything so plastic-looking on it

you could do some voodoo magic and channel the sprits to possess the top of your uguitar. then they'd be playing it all the time, make the spruce age faster..... sound better.... cigar box with springs...... steak knife....... car wash....... i like dirt...........
