RE: Paco de Lucia has passed away (in reply to avimuno)

According to BBC News, Paco de Lucia died in Mexico, in the resort town of Cancun. The BBC reports that he died of a heart attack while playing with his children on the beach. (Paco's wife is from Mexico.) He was only 66 years old, still relatively young, with plenty of good years left in him. I consider myself fortunate to have been able to attend two of his concerts when he performed in the Washington, DC area. He was one of the giants, not only in flamenco but in the musical world writ large. His passing leaves a huge gap for sure. Bill
