A day in the workshop

Attention all lutherie and beard fans. This one is for you.
I decided to film myself for a day at work.

You made it look as easy as building a capo with a pencil.

Is that all it take? I already got the beard and banana part down pat!
It's crazy how much you guys use hand tools. I get bummed at work if I even have to hand nail something. lol
Great vid!

Nice video Andy thankyou.

I particularly like that circle cutter. Did you make it yourself?

Thanks for watching guys! I may make more of these in the future.
Kevin, the circle cutter is from LMI. It adjusts finely and you can turn the blade around, change the depth etc. I use it for scoring the top for rosette inlay too.

The baby was a treat for anyone that watched to the end

Len, you construction guys are very efficient but I kind of miss the romanticism of swinging a hammer. My dad and I built two houses with nothing for power tools but one crappy cordless set: circular saw, drill, and sawzall

Absolutely SUPER! It's always good to see you in operation. I love the way you tap the sound hole out. I think I'll learn how to do that instead of using a power tool.

The baby is so cute. We have yet to see any grandchildren. Maybe next year.
