Castillo's cheap model

An email just came to me saying that Salvador Castillo starts making a cheaper model called "Estudio".

The cost is 1700$ or 1300€.

its been up for a few weeks now. I guess you must have found out through the latest newsletter?

its a great idea for non-serious players, I think, those who play a bit once in a while kind of thing

All the while I'm wondering what it will sound like... I would venture a guess that Salvador's Nephew is doing a great deal of the work under Salvador's supervision. I must say, even with owning 2 of Castillo's "Concert Models", this price point attracts me... I had wanted another blanca from him, but was in need of a good negra, so I got the negra this time... I had promised that I would order the next new blanca from another builder, but Salvador has me spoiled and afraid to go with someone else! Aw well... Guess I'll see how much I love this negra he's building for me before I start thinking about my next guitar.
