Hi,

I don't know if you are still looking, but I knew a teacher who played classical and flamenco music in cairo, his name was Mohamed El-Tobgy. Through him I got introduced to Yasser Shola who is a very talented flamenco guitarist. Maybe you can ask El-Tobgy for contact details of Shola and also El-Tobgy himself is a very famous guitarist in Egypt. His center is called cairo music center at the airport road.

Best regards,
Sabo

Sabo, doublek

Actually Mohamed ElTobgy is not a flamenco guitarist, and his center at airport road doesn't teach flamenco..only classical. It's true that Yaser Shoala is his student ..Yaser has learned classical with el tobgy but then learned flamenco somewhere else I'm not sure.

There is a guy called Wael Khedr who is more into flamenco and has a flamenco fusion band called flamenca. He plays with his band with a flamenco cutaway alhambra guitar, but he owns an excellant conde hermanos blanca!
There is also a guy called Kareem who studied flamenco in a proper flamenco school in Spain for one year.. I believe he is the guy with the best flamenco culture in Egypt ( and owns a wondeful manuel reyes ! )

There is also a new guy called ashraf Ziada ..he already made a concert and released a CD.. he lives in Sharm El Sheikh and works in some hotel there

So ..if any one knows anyone else let me know ..I'm also interested in getting in touch with all flamenco people in Egypt
