Ricardo Sanchis Carpio 1F Extra

I have an inquiry from a student of mine on a Ricardo Sanchis Carpio 1F Extra. I believe this a signed model – is that correct? Anyone know the scale/nut measurements? Any general idea of price range?

What year is it? That used to be Ricardo's top model but for the past few years now it has become his son's, the Hermanos Sanchis Lopez top model. It is a signed model. Standard is 660mm scale 53mm nut unless ordered with other measurements. Anywhere between $3600 and $4000 depending if your ordering from Spain or US.

My student just sent me a link to the guitar he was considering. It's on Guitar Center used. I called them up. It is a 2004 RSC 1F Extra. It has what was described as two fine cracks below the bridge, don't know if they have been repaired, and I think a slight buckling, but over the phone it's hard to get a clear answer.

I advised my student to pass, but this might be a good buy for someone here on the forum. It's up for only $1800 something, so it might be worth a look for some member. Since it's from Guitar Center, you can return it within thirty days, so there's no real risk, and someone might get a good buy.

It's a very good guitar but not knowing more about the cracks would steer me away too.

I hate trying to talk to anyone in GC about anything nylon string. They basically know zero about them and as you said Prominent Critic it's hard to get a straight answer cause they're salesman.
