Im not sure that feminism has reached Lithuania yet but if anyone can think of a more inappropriate way of mixing racism and sexism in power tool advertising.....please be my guest and post here

The Lithuanians are just catching up to an old American tradition. In the distant days of my youth, the walls of automotive repair shops were plastered with posters of hot babes given away free by the hand tool companies.

Now the waiting lounge at the BMW dealer has leather sofas, glossy magazines, free Wi-Fi, a staffed coffee bar and a huge flat screen TV. No posters of semi-nude beauties--soccer moms waiting for their SUVs to be serviced would not be amused.

Speaking of distant days of youth, does anyone here remember the early Playboy magazine "Vargas girls"? They were exquisite paintings in each issue of Playboy of nude women by an artist who went by the name of Vargas. This was back in the late 50s and early 60s, and Vargas's women were sexier than the Playmate of the Month.

I don't understand how this picture is considered appropriate? don't you think some women here might get offended?

She can be hot without being topless. He could have at least scratched out the boobs

I DONT!!!!!!!....please READ my first post. You'll find the word inappropriate was the word I used. (dont listen to Doit, he always says the opposite of what he means)

Kudo- Its not a nude photo and Im not trying to offend anyone. Im saying that this type of advertising is inappropiate and sexist. (I like spinal tap reference) Topless women on the other hand are not offensive...at least not in spain where everyone sunbaths topless.
Personally, I think cutting breasts off female statues or scrubbing breasts off photos of women is a much worse attitude to women than simply moderating exploitive advertising.

Most advertisement is so shallow that i feel more offended by that than by some pleasant looking boobs.

About the only way I will watch TV is to record the show so I can zip through the commercials without watching.

By the time the program returns you've forgotten what you were watching... or maybe that's just me.
