Phenomenal young classical guitarist

I'm sure many here have seen these videos, but for the benefit of those who haven't – take a look. This is Li Jie from China. I believe she was thirteen when these were shot. She was at that age already playing at a world-class level, with utterly flawless technique and great musicality. But what is really astounding is that by all accounts when these were shot she had been playing for only two years. She is now in her late twenties.

…..And later Li Jie came to America where she traded her prodigious talent for a few chords strummed on a modest steel string guitar.

That's very funny. But I've been waiting for the real Li Jie to come to the U.S.A. on a concert tour. It seems impossible to get information about her. I'm going to try on one of the classical guitar forums. She has blossomed into a beautiful woman.
