Wittner Pegs - Finetune-Peg

Hello dear forum members,

I'm considering to buy a custom made guitar and would like to know about any experience you may have with Wittner's Finetune-Peg for Flamenco Guitars.
My main concern is about the stability and long term performance of this product.
I find it esthetically amazing and authentic but unfortunately all my guitars have the regular tuners.

Thanks !

Hello, I acquired this guitar in November. I have changed strings a few times. I really like the Wittner pegs, they look and feel very nice and work really well. No issues at all, very stable tuning.

Hope that helps.

I have geared peggs from peghead.
They are on my Anders Eliasson from 2013. Never had any trouble, very comfertable.

2 years ago, I exchanged the rosewood pegs on my guitar by Wittner Ukelele fine tuning pegs.
I choose for the smaller ukelele pegs because of the installation diameter that was corresponding with the original wooden pegs (so that I didn't have to ream the holes and could keep the guitar original).

These ukelele pegs are working flawlessly btw, no problems so far.

The flamenco guitar pegs from Wittner have an installation diameter of 9,5 mm (tapered 1:30), the ukelele pegs are 7,5 mm.
The weight of a wooden peg is 5,3 g (rosewood). The Wittner ukelele peg is 10,1g. (a Wittner flamenco guitar peg is advertised 13g/peg)
